Senior School Experience at Mayville High School

Mayville High School welcomes you to our Senior School Experience evening on Thursday 13th October 2016, from 5:00pm through 7:00pm.

The ethos at Mayville instills a life-long love of learning in every pupil, and our talented and highly-qualified teaching staff are dedicated to developing pupils’ skills and confidence.

We focus on the pursuit of excellence in both individual and team achievement, so every child can fulfil their unique potential.

We offer a vast array of sporting opportunities, including football, rugby, cricket, netball, swimming, tennis, athletics, badminton, gymnastics, trampolining and rounders.

Our 20-acre site at Eastney offers dedicated facilities for sport. We were well-represented at the 2016 ISA national sporting finals, showcasing our talent against some of the best young athletes in the country and earning a number of podium finishes.

Creative arts is firmly embedded within school life at Mayville. The summer term saw a cross section of our senior pupils performing Bugsy Malone — with two casts on consecutive days, it was a huge challenge for performers and backstage crew.

Extra-curricular activities offer children a wealth of opportunities to broaden their horizons: building an Eco Car and racing it at Goodwood recently earned Mayville pupils the title of the ‘Best New Team Award’ at the Green Power F24 Competition.

Juniors enjoyed summer residentials including a Bushcraft course and trips to Calshot and Kingswood activity centres.

A group of Seniors recently returned from a month-long trip of a lifetime to Borneo, where they lived in rainforests, helped to clear sea pollution, and learned to scuba dive.
