Before And After School Care
For 50 weeks of the year from 8am-6pm, care and clubs are provided for our pupils. For children from 6 months - 11 years Mayville provides breakfast,after school care and holiday care. For 4-11 year olds there are activity clubs throughout the holidays. Prep sessions are provided for 11 - 16 year olds 4-5pm Monday to Thursday.
Early morning care
In The Cottage morning care is offered for children from 8am - 9am. Morning care for 4-11 year olds starts at 8am and finishes at 8.30am. During this time pupils can take part in an activity or enjoy a period of free play including drawing, board games and puzzles.
After school care:at The Cottage
is provided from 4pm-6pm. A light tea, made on the premises, is provided. Children engage in quiet activities, where they can wind down after the day.
After school care: Kestrels - Lower II Y2 -Owl club
The Owl Club operates after school each evening until 6pm. There is a period of supervised free play, both indoor and outdoor, before children are served a healthy balanced light tea. They have a chance to play, read, and take part in a planned activity and complete any set homework.
After tea, they can also play outdooors in the school playground, watch DVDs, or listen to a story. Places can be booked on a regular or occasional basis and children may be collected there up to 6pm.
After school care: Junior After School Club -UpperII-Upper III (Y3 -Y6).
Children start off having free time and are allowed a period of supervised play in the playground. Tea is served, and then homework club, which is run by a member of staff starts at about 4.15pm finishing around 5pm. An art activity is available for those who finish their homework or are staying until 6pm. There is also free-play, consisting, of drawing, board games and reading.
