At the end of the Christmas holidays a group of more than 44 pupils from Mayville High School including Juniors and Seniors embarked on a trip to the beautiful resort of Mayrhofen in Austria. This time our skiers took a different route which entailed taking the Eurotunnel and which saw the party arriving earlier than expected. Everyday pupils and the six staff members skied from 10am until 12pm stopping for lunch and resuming in the afternoon at 1pm-3pm. The children all really improved and Oliver Terry came first overall in a race involving Mayville pupils and others in their teaching groups. Mrs Dekker was the teacher who took first prize. Pupils attended a disco, swam in the local pool, and went bowling as well as having a film night. Many thanks to all the staff who looked after the pupils so wonderfully. We are already looking forward to next year’s trip.
