Not even rain and high winds could stop 1000 children, including Junior pupils from Mayville High School taking part in their performance of a special composition for #D-Day75 on Southsea Common this morning. Pupils had to be moved from #DDay75 stage to a marquee due to high winds. The pupils then sang '6 June 1944', a brand new song which remembers the courage and commitment made by so many on D-Day. The event was organised by the Portsmouth Music Hub, and the song conducted by @MajHuwWilliams, Director of Music Training at the Royal Marine School of Music. Well done everyone. Incredible effort. Wonderful memories. Mayville was proud to be part of it.
